Tom Burgess, Program Manager
Department of State, Overseas Building Operations

Mr. Burgess is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional with over 15 years of experience in IT project management with the U.S.Department of State (DoS). In 2009, he joined the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) as the program manager for OBO’s TRIRIGA solution, known at OBO as the Building Management Information System (BMIS). Mr. Burgess oversees a team of 20 developers and analysts responsible for the operations and maintenance of BMIS. BMIS captures, manages and provides reports for data associated with the worldwide property and project portfolio for the DoS—one of the largest in the federal government.

Paul Oswald, President/Owner

Paul has over 30 years of experience in building automation, system integration and energy management. His experience includes global product strategy and development, business and channel development, service and contracting.

Paul has authored numerous articles and presented at national and international conferences on control system architectures and open communication standards. He has served on several industry committees for open communication protocols and standards development.

Brandon Patterson, Federal Project Executive, IBM

Brandon Patterson has worked for IBM Global Business Services in the Federal Sector for eight years in multiple system integration delivery and business development roles. He is currently IBM's delivery lead for the GSA BuildingLink project.
