Wisconsin Green Building Alliance Selects ESI’s Sustainable Facility
March 16 tour & presentation scheduled at likely LEED Platinum building
BROOKFIELD, Wis.– Environmental Systems, Inc. (ESI) and the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA) today announced ESI’s new facility—which is seeking LEED platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council—will host WGBA’s March 16 meeting. The meeting is free and open to those interested in hearing ESI President Paul Oswald present Buildings: Sustainable, Efficient, Intelligent. What’s the difference and can you achieve it profitably? followed by a tour of the facility.
“We already are seeing significant registrations to visit ESI’s new facility,” says Sue Loomans, WGBA Executive Director. “ESI seeks LEED platinum certification, which incorporates energy-efficient heating, cooling, lighting, water systems, and includes high-performance insulation, windows, doors and other sustainable features.”
WGBA’s Milwaukee Member Circle forum also provides a networking opportunity to discuss sustainable best practices, opportunities and obstacles, and strategies.
“Considering the current state of the economy, we believe the interest in seeing our new facility derives from executives wanting to understand how improved building performance, efficiency and intelligence reduces operating costs, improves productivity and generates a measureable return on investment,” ESI’s Oswald says.
All are welcome to register at info@wgba.org for the free March 16 event. Coffee, pastries, and networking begin at 8:30 a.m. Presentation and building tour at 9 a.m. Directions to ESI’s Brookfield, Wis., headquarters will be provided when you register.
Buildings: Sustainable, Efficient, Intelligent. What’s the difference and can you achieve it profitably? will explore the dynamics between building sustainability, efficiency and intelligence and clarify some common misperceptions about what each of these terms mean. It will show how these can work together, the cost impact, and the bottom line impact each has on business value. A facility tour will allow attendees to see the convergence of sustainable, efficient and intelligent design and applications in actual use.
