Education and training programs to improve building performance and sustainability

As part of our commitment to educating the public on energy awareness and reducing the environmental impact of commercial buildings, ESU offers the following programs:

ENERGY AWARENESS

This three-hour session is designed as a basic introduction to the energy problems that we face in the world today. Through a summary of basic energy principles and potential energy conservation measures, we discuss the concept of building life cycle management.

STANDARD USER INTERFACE TRAINING

This 8-hour session is specifically designed to provide end-user training customized for your solution. This introductory level training includes system architecture, system use and common browser user interface tasks.

MY SYSTEM TRAINING

System training is one of the most important aspects of system turnover. Without it, even a perfectly designed, installed and optimally operating system is likely to degrade over the first few months of operation. This session is custom-designed for your O&M staff to enable them to operate your facilities in an energy-efficient manner, ensure long equipment life, and address changes in building use.

Typically, this training is delivered in multiple sessions organized into logical system types and presented by multiple subject matter experts, including designers, engineers, product specialists and contractors. The primary training resource for this program is your O&M manual, which likely includes system drawings, diagrams, product data sheets and more.

TRAINING ON RETAINER

As companies struggle with operating budgets, the need to maintain a skilled workforce is critical to future economic success. In an effort to assist our customers with shrinking training budgets, ESU offers its services on retainer.

With this type of agreement, you can purchase a set number of training service hours over a specified period. Given that commitment, you are entitled to discounted rates and priority response. Retainer agreements can include a full range of services including assessment, development and delivery.

TRIDIUM NIAGARA CERTIFICATION

ESU is certified by Tridium to provide Niagara Technical Certification Program course offerings for systems integrators and end-users nationwide.  In addition to Tridium’s Corporate Training Center, ESI is one of only two other outlets authorized to offer both NiagaraAX and Niagara R2 certification training.  ESU offers 3-day end-user course offerings as well as 5-day certification training either at our training center in Brookfield, WI or at your location.

SKYFOUNDRY

SkyFoundry is a leading developer of data analytics software.  Their SkySpark platform,  is a leading edge data analytics tool that gathers data from nearly any building automation, process, enterprise, metering system or other data source and perform expert analysis thereby uncovering valuable information.  ESI is a SkyFoundry channel partner and provides services including full turn key solution delivery, application development, end user training, developer training, and support.

DATA VISUALIZATION

Dashboards have been used for years in building automation in an effort to simplify the presentation of real-time operating parameters.  And web-based technologies are providing the framework for developing intelligent portals that allow users to quickly and easily appraise the state of performance.  One such emerging technology is called Prophet (by DGLogik).  Compatible with the NiagaraAX platform, Prophet adds a new layer of data visualization, and provides the ability to build custom dashboards for real-time and historical data.  ESI is a DGLogik channel partner and provides services including full turn key solution delivery, application development, end user training, developer training, and support.
